Reviews

This is the basic standard model, functional and inexpensive labor. If you want cheap and the need to make 8 cups, this is your purchase. If you want something more advanced try the isolation of the models they offer.

My husband and I were surprised to find that coffee made with the French press doesn 't have the bitterness that is common with perked coffee. Usually we don 't grind beans for our coffee perked, so I don ' t know if that is the reason. Coffee made with the French press has a nice flavor, and we have used it much more than our drip coffee maker since receiving it a few days ago.

This press coffee can contain 8 measuring cups Union, which is 4 cups of Americans, or 32 ounces. If you use about 8 grams of ground coffee (which makes a very strong cup), you 'll have 24 ounces left to its fermentation, which would be 3 regular 8-ounce glasses, or 2 12-mugs oz This release does not drink 8 cups of coffee as their machine beer drip want - that 're measuring cups to speak. Press R rthe great works! Makes a good cup of strong coffee, only 8 ounces or 12 SE for me, or a 32 oz filled to others as well. Be sure to use fresh ground coffee beans:) r rI found using 2 or 3 tablespoons of ground coffee for each course 4 liters of coffee works very well. Water R ruse hot off the boil, the water is boiling add a splash of cold water before pouring it in. The glass may break if you add boiling water straight. R rthe recommended 4 times steeper minutes is ideal. R rthe glass is fragile, so use a plastic spoon or wooden stick to stir the grounds as it 's wetting. Chopsticks or popsicle sticks work great! Stir it a little 'til you see a flower of light brown nice before letting it steep. R rCurrently using a blade grinder $ 20. Eager to try it with a good burr grinder when I can get one!

No doubt, if you use a coffee press, you can have a very strong, flavorful coffee without bitterness. This is a very nice product. If you enjoy a great cup of coffee, it will make 2 cups. However, if you leave the coffee sit after pouring your first cup, it will slowly become bitter. It hasn 't become a problem for me as I usually only have a 12-16 oz cup in the morning still. I 'd definitely recommend this coffee press. Easy to clean, easy to use.

I had a single cup of French press which I love, but I needed a larger one so I bought this one and I like it very much. It stores easily so I it doesn 't take up counter space which is a big bonus. You can make your coffee as strong or as weak as you like ... also great. The down side is that your coffee gets cold and you have to keep reheating it in the microwave, but that 's the price you pay for a French press ... You could probably your pour into a thermos pot thingy, but I don 't have one and I don ' t want any more stuff to crowd my limited cabinet space. But really I enjoy the taste of the coffee that makes this much more than a coffee maker. It is easy to clean and the oils don 't build up like in the machine ones. For me, because I have a small kitchen, this is a great solution. It is also impressive when I have company and everyone is curious about it .. it 's kinda chic looking and I like that too. I recommend it.

This is a very simple, easy to use and easy to clean French press. I could be 't be happier with him. Brewery with a French press usually results in much more spicy, rich coffee, and coffee than with a conventional drip. R rThough it makes very good hot coffee, I especially like to use to brew homemade iced cold. Ever notice how when you try to make iced coffee at home, some breweries with a normal coffee pot and then they put in the refrigerator until it is cool, it does not taste right? That 's good, because most of the cold brew their iced coffee shops, resulting in a smoother taste. When you are cold-brew time and not as heat to brew the coffee. R rin event that you 've never cold coffee, here ' s what I do: I take a meal of freshly-ful - Soil premium beans, throw them in the media 's Jug they fill the rest of the way with cool, filtered water, let it brew for 12-15 hours at room temperature, then push the beans down the stick in the fridge for a while, and serve in a glass with some ice cubes . Yum! Add cream and season to taste sweetness. I 'll save a fortune by brewing my own iced coffee from now on. (By the way, the instructions for brewing hot coffee are the same, only hot water when you cool, and the heat makes it in about 5 minutes instead of 12 hours to brew.) R rif you 're a coffee nut like me, whether you prefer hot or cold (or even) depending on the weather, you owe it to yourself to try a French Press, Bodum and can 't be beat for the money!

Let 's face, dumping a bucket of ground coffee in hot water is nothing new. The Bodum press is a refinement of cowboy coffee preparation method, except the fire and efforts through a sock. In my world, there is no such thing as "very strong" for coffee. There are, however, too bitter and too acidic. The press does encouraging, drip ground coffee and smoking can do: produce a strong, but smooth cup of coffee - just like things done around my decades of bonfires. r rModel Brazil, conducted in Denmark by a company called Swiss and French press. No wonder the confusion about exactly how many cups it really does. The Euro-guidelines for the press to say that 4 oz cup, but even my fine porcelain cups of Bavaria (from when I lived in Munich) are 6 oz. r d rjust search this way: It has 32 ounces of water. r rthe instructions on your container of roasted coffee in general say use 1 tablespoon per 6 ounces of water (NO and NO 4 oz 8 oz.) Again, in MY world, 32 oz. Makes 2 cups of coffee. r RI release in 6 or more tablespoons of ground coffee, pour in hot water and wait for the condition 4 minutes. The result is a smooth coffee that can be drunk in large quantities without the unpleasant heartburn / reflux side effect. r Rit 's ideal for work where the office of ladybugs are afraid to offend anyone with real coffee, so are weak. I just step up the hot water faucet and take the press on my desktop. r RNOW, you can also drink coffee at work as you like without having to meet someone 's failed potion which foo-foo vanilla, hazelnut, Irish cream flavored creams or fake fake. r rCleanup? They swirl around a little soapy water and dump the grounds for the sink - just make you have running water and garbage disposal running, not to cover the stench of the toilet. r dealer if you have brewing coffee machine of your dreams, buy 32 oz Bodum. model. You won 't be disappointed.

A recent article in GQ suggested making coffee with a technique to cool a mixture of French press. I bought Brazil, on the basis of price and 've been very happy. It 's well made, and so long as don ' t drop it I think it 'll be very happy addition to my kitchen for years and years to come. And 'what is, and ' s well done ... so if you 're in the market give a shot.

makes large coffee, but make sure your press grind is big enough to eat or they are stuck in the grate plunger, making it difficult to remove.

I have two of these, for home and the office. It Shines at the office in particular, as shared drip machines tend to get pretty nasty. The combination of this and an electric kettle Cleans up perfectly, and is pretty much indestructible. R rat home, this is great for coffee and tea, of course, but it 's also great for cocktails. If you remove the wire mesh from the plunger, it does a good job of mixing up your ingredients. The pour spout has a strainer which keeps ice in. Just the right size for stiffer drinks, where a 2-quart pitcher might be too much.

most French presses are too expensive. it works well and 'sa great deal!

I 've due for a while now. I use it almost every day. R rOverall It 's easy to clean. Of course there are reasons to address, but you would expect from a French press. The screen does a great job to get most of the grounds at the bottom. R GH I think the coffee tastes much better than when using old paper filters. R rJust to note, though says 8 cups, the reality is that 's much as 3 venti size of the popular coffee shop. R rEnjoy!

Ordered, because my last beaker broke. I enjoy the best taste of coffee from the press, and does a wonderful. The only complaint would be that you 't completely close the outlet, where's the coffee "brews. " I usually solve this problem simply by the press with a towel. Just taking care not to break into the eighth now beaker. I recommend this product from this seller. Price was best I found anywhere.

This is the Bodum press 4 i 've owned. Rthe first is a small glass next 3, which is 8 glasses of Brazil on this page, then the 12 oz plastic carry with you press. Rall worked very well but I like the 8 cups seems largely due to the reason for keeping the coffee there. R rI just happened to knock on my old 8 glasses from the table and broke so I bought another like it. R rGreat coffee flavor and easy to use.

I heard of French coffee press and the return to direct some things picked up this model. Firstly, it seems very well built bottom plastic handle and lid, but all metal parts stainless filter are not plastic there. The glass does not seem to be a little on the thin side so caution must be taken when using the dry, a slight drop and it looks like you could break the whole thing. A big advantage for me was how well he pours our coffee drip and cup pyrex our measurement may be a little doubtful when the cause division spilling coffee / water spills, but this thing like a dream. R rA little weird that this label 8 - glass, but is actually 4-cup to 32 ounces which is a good amount for me and the girlfriend because we like large cups of coffee. The only other strange thing is to put the filter in the lid has angle near the handle a little Because clips on the glass at the top, but should only take you a second to figure it out and get used to it. R rreally eager to try different coffees in the present.

I recently purchased this Bodum Brazil 8-cup French press, and am very happy with it 's performance. This product is to be done in an economic no-nonsense practical mix of glass, plastic and metal, what it 's because hat. And it does very well. R rI chose this model because you can save a step for heating the water directly into the carafe (minus the butt, of course) with your microwave. After the last soaking for several minutes, the coffee can, you want to warm up the Brew shortly before the onset of action and application of the filter / plunger again. R RTEST show me that the plastic frame of this model is not heated, or adversely affected by the microwave. Please note that you you need at least 7.5 inches headroom in your oven using this technique. This method will not work with machines, of course, that the amount of metal that was used in its construction, then, you for some fireworks! Go to R rThe way, if you like your coffee hot and simple.

The only problem is to get the press under the handle to press the coffee. Otherwise, this is an excellent product and works well for coffee for 2.

Brazil 8-cup coffee press is a great display of value, simplicity and good design. The size is ideal for two normal-sized cups of coffee (enough to fill a travel mug and then some). The design is simple and effective, and can improve the setup Chambord classic while less costly in the process. The plastic base and handle is robust and provides a much better than Chambord - I never worry about the press roll or be toppled easily. R rat $ 20, this is easily one of the best values to make a good cup of coffee. If you are considering the 3-cup version for whatever reason, keep this in mind for $ 5 more, you get the flexibility to make more than twice as much coffee without having to wait for the pot to two Brew times. Unless you need a smaller size for a specific reason, get a bigger one - you 'll thank yourself later when you want to share a plate of delicious coffee with a friend. R rPROS: durable construction, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, works well as the more expensive Chambord rCONS: Difficult to remove the pitcher from the plastic frame - is very sensitive when you try to do it!

I upgraded from cruddy built-in-china imitation with a thin glass French press is finally broken and useless button. R rI have to say it was worth it. It should be appreciated in this model: r r-Nice big handle r-type cap r-divers are very tight, which means there will be no through r-base plastic to protect wine bottles from accidental impact r "Very nice price r rHighly recommended.

I have a small office, I .... This has been so great to have around. The coffee shop is great but when the weather (winter) does not allow. This makes great coffee and is easy to keep clean.

I am very happy with this product, it works as promised, and provides great results! RI was seen anyone comment that French Press coffee results in "cold " results, but we heated) water to 170 degrees F before following the instructions Brewing (12 ounces water, 3 minutes on high in our microwave and was Brewing a cup of hot coffee over, if after 4 minutes. RAlso I had someone comment that breaks the glass easy to see, but we use a plastic spoon to stir the coffee as per directions and wash them carefully and have no problems. RI would definitely recommend this product!

Smaller than 8 (American Standard) cups. However, a very nicely made coffee press and I am basically happy with it.

We only use the press since we got it. The coffee maker has been put away. The press slides down easily. Maybe 5 grains escapes through if any. Other reviews for other Bodum presses complain about how easily the glass breaks. I can see how it may break easily if you knock it a little hard, so just be careful, no different from other non-thick glass. The pour spout does not drip / leak. That was my biggest pet peeve w / the coffee maker carafe, I cleaned up drips at every use. Makes ~ three full mugs ... the 8-cups is obviously not the usual mug size.

This is a great, durable little French Press. That's good for about 3 or 4 cups of coffee a bigger one. I enjoy how easy to clean. And it makes surprisingly warm coffee.

I have two models Chambord, and this one. I prefer the features of Brazil 's KEYED lid, plastic frame and secured to the Chambord models. I 've had this for about 3 years now, use it every day, and it ' s held up perfectly. Great press.
