Description

The Bodum Pavina Double Wall Shot Glass is 2 ounces in size and can be used for cold or warm beverages. Its unique design is appealing to the eye when filled with your favorite beverage. With its double layer of borosilicate glass it appears as though the liquid is 'floating' within the glass. They will not sweat when filled with a cold beverage, so you will not have to use a coaster. The double wall creates a thermal effect, helping to keep your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for longer periods of time. These mouth blown glasses are an exciting product for any home, restaurant, or cafe, and they are a definite conversation piece. Bodum's insulated Glassware is made from durable Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a strong heat-resistant glass Traditionally used to make scientific lab glass. Stronger than traditional "soda-lime" glass, borosilicate can be used for everything from Drinkware to Cookware. Borosilicate glass substitutes boron oxide in place of the soda and lime used in everyday Glassware. The boron oxide acts as the glue holding the silicate together. Due to small size of boron particles, the glass is held together tighter, resulting in a stronger, lighter glass. Borosilicate glass does not need to be as thick as traditional glass to be just as strong due to the bonding capability boron oxide. Borosilicate is simply a different type of glass that is resistant to temperature swings and scratching. Because the particles are held together so Tightly, borosilicate glass is resistant to temperature swings, In addition to being Dishwasher safe borosilicate will not become cloudy over time; you can rest assured that after 1.000 cycles, the glass will be as clear as the day you bought it. At last, a glass that will not burn or freeze your hand. Two walls of clear glass with an air layer in-between not only keep drinks cold - or hot - but prevent condensation from forming on the outside. So, an ice-cold shot of vodka or a steamy espresso feels just right, no matter the temperature. And coasters will not be needed, either. Winner of the prestigious European iF Design Award, the mouth-blown Pavina glass exhibits Bodum's flair for the modern. Each two-ounce glass curves beguilingly and fits the palm just right. Mouth-blown of borosilicate glass, which is quite a bit thinner yet much more durable than regular glass, the two Pavina glasses in this set are safe for both the microwave and Dishwasher, resist temperature swings, and resist scratching and dulling. Care should be taken when placing Ice Cubes in an empty glass, and metal spoons for stirring are discouraged. - Ann Bieri Editor's Note: Because each glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness, and weight. Bodum recommends using care when placing ice into the glass to avoid fracturing the inner layer. You should also avoid using metal spoons or placing the glass into a crowded Dishwasher.

Reviews

These glasses are awesome. They really isolate the beverage, maintaining the cold / hot in your hand when the glass is maintained. Recommend to anyone.

I absolutely love these glasses. The use everyday for my hot tea. I love the glass doesn 't too hot to take away. I think that now maintain my hot as the other cups / glasses. I would have given this 5 stars, except that they are very fragile. I 'm very careful with mine. I Don 't use a spoon in them. I wash by hand and keep them separate from other dishes when drying. With that said, I broke one of them nearly a month after reaching them (my fault ... I on one end and fell into the sink). If you're careful with them, are fantastic. My plan is to buy more. 12 oz size is fine for most purposes ... so it 'll probably stay with this order, when more.

Great product! No condensation on the glass to worry about-saves your tables. Wonderful size for a big drink to quench your thirst! Not a heavy glass-light, sturdy and beautiful bit, too.

While the glass will not stay cold, the glass, so if it breaks from bumps against something. Otherwise good.

Bodum offers no guarantee on their products. The connector on the bottom came after just one use. I called and they told me too bad. My glasses are in the trash and I 'm out of $ 30.

I love these glasses they are great at keeping things cold / hot while still being able to be held. R rThe definitely are fragile though, we lost one on the first day when it tipped over on the table it was sitting on.

I bought a pair of these for myself and spouse about a year ago, because they are so beautiful. After a career as an artist / teacher I enjoy using every day objects aesthetically (I could never afford a Ferrari, but I admire them). I can make these glasses, and I must say, they work very well! Liquid to be maintained for some time and they feel good in your hand. I 'm buying a number of variations and a carafe soon. Stand for those who can 't spent a little more care in cleaning and taking care of them, stay Chevy.

We started with about 6 of glasses and now we 're down to two in less than a year. They are really beautiful and we get many compliments on it, but they break very, very easy! Even just putting them through the dishwasher causes one to break you. And when they shatter - oh boy! What is turmoil. They break everywhere. In tiny, tiny pieces.

I like eliminating the size and the double-wall, most of the condensation, I would usually get on the outside of the glass. R rI also really like how they look. R rI have also bought the smaller size of this brand and found that they have absolutely no condensation. Can r Race you to say I bought them for cold drinks, but they work well with hot drinks.

I have many Bodum double wall glasses and have always been very satisfied with them until now. The most recent order, which are made in China allow the water between the 2 walls. Look horrible. Bodum Sorry, but quality control is gone. WARNING!

I 'm number of this product five stars because Amazon has combined reviews at least five different products - and each probably deserves at least one star. R rBefore respond, nor accept any revision of these products, we know that the reviewer may be talking about a different product. R rthe only way you can be sure that the reviewer is talking about the same product by clicking on the comment (s) link to the review, scroll to the top of the page and look at the photo at the top right. R rThanks to break the review system, the Amazon. Regarding reports of a star, a good number of them seem to be of 21 oz glasses of iced tea. So maybe 9 oz cups deserve further assessment - but we 'll never know unless you click on each exam to check what product was broken / didn ' t Break / filtered results count ourselves . R rsort defeats the purpose of a review system, doesn 't it?

Well in humid climates, preventing condensation from cold drinks the water surface so it could ruin coasters wood. No condensation at all. No coaster needed.

These are beautifully thin, light-weight glass and perfect for my white wine! Every glass sweats in Houston and I was really tired of having to wrap a paper towel around my wine glass so I bought these. No more paper towels ... Perfect!

The double-layer glass works very well! Outside the windows is really cool, so it 're perfect for making coffee.

This product is dangerous and not well made. In less than a month in both broke glasses. One fell off a table and shattered everywhere. The second flaw in, the liquid went to aliner, and had a broken piece below that I almost swallowed. I would not really recommend this product.

Pro 's Cool Looking; keeps espresso warm, spacious (probably closer to flight Holds 2.3 oz) r rCons: fragile (one drop is all it takes) is not good to pour into another class (ie to pull shots on latte, Americano, etc.) r r own 4 of them (up to 3) and since I rarely drink coffee straight from the glass, I 'll probably go with a more functional replacement for use in a regular basis and save to remove these when the neighbors come more ...

I asked the version 9-oz six months ago to use with my tea a day and my occasional whiskey. I'm happy with my purchase it and here is why: r rO borosilicate glass, in addition to being strong, is less likely to be stained by coffee or detergents. Six months later, I can confirm: no stain whatsoever. RO double wall design keeps the hot drink (tea) warmer and prevents condensation from forming holding cold drinks. R-Can in hot drinks, without the glass cracking. Not only am I literally pouring nearly boiling the tea, the double wall to keep the cold outside. R-Dishwasher safe (but use common sense, because even the borosilicate glass is still glass). I almost always wash them by hand. R-Hand-made in China. R-styling. R rthe just disappointing, but got over it, was the original 'feel ' glasses. By just looking at the glasses, you would expect something heavy, like the purpose of crystal that are not. It 's not is surprising, given that the walls are not solid, glass, two thin layers of glass with extra-strong air in the middle. They also don ' t' sound 'and crystal. Thus, if the weight and sound don ' t worry, these glasses are great. R RI must confess, one of the 2 cups broke a couple of months ago - someone dropped - so it was left with only one glass ever since. I'm about to order another pair right now, just in case.

My husband and I recently made a room remodel, $ 200,000 more than the kitchen / dining room, tearing down walls and opening the entire area for entertaining. The style is quite modern. Part of this is a counter for 13-feet of walnut, where guests can sit on leather stools, sip their drinks, gourmet kitchen and see my husband do his thing with hors d 'oeuvres and more. My husband with love and care over the nut against himself to make it gleam like glass. R RWE Bodum discovered these vessels to a friend 's house and realized that would be perfect for our new kitchen. Because of the double layers of glass, do not sweat and make napkin on the counter, even if a client does not use a roller or a cocktail. So not only look fresh ... and complement our new kitchen with its elegant and fluid style suspension ... but are also easy in our beautiful, hand-finished walnut against. We still have a bit more ornate (and more expensive) crystal whiskey glasses, but now keep in our family room, where the surfaces are less vulnerable. R RAS for the delicacy of these glasses, as others have complained ... they are glass! HELLO! The glass can break. I put in my dishwasher for almost two years, and has not been any kind of problem. Once or twice accidentally hit one against a faucet or something, and is broken. Boo hoo! Then I go online and for two at the ridiculous price of $ 14.95 (for two!). (That 's what I ' m here.) Glass vessels used for use (and that would leave rings on the counter) broke at least as easily and cost more than four times rather than replace. R RSO ... If you are currently using plastic cups or expecting these glasses behave like plastic, and if you can afford to replace a broken window occasionally for about $ 7.00, I could 't recommend these glasses more. You will present your guests with a cool drink of the future and not have to punish them for not using a mountain ... especially if you actually have surfaces that do not care about (such as "Formica). R rApparently these goggles are not made by people with normal low end ... And what could be a better recommendation than that?

Beautiful glasses, a little smaller than I thought they would. I can say it is fine to treat them with care so. I am satisfied with this product and would buy more if something less expensive.

The glasses are great for espresso, as they lose very little heat. I am a tad apprehensio based on the thinness of the walls, but it 's surprisingly strong. The only thing I don 't want (but this is purely preference) is that they are very light, and I prefer tad more weight. R rThey is also quite beautiful to see.

The idea of these glasses double wall is great. I live in Hawaii and drink in ordinary glasses is always a mess. Condensation is incredible. And these glasses Don 't even leave a ring on the table. But there is a big but. They are extremely fragile. In fact, the last order I received contained two broken glasses. And the replacement order was broken when I received it too. My suggestion is to find the glasses in a store and carefully bring them back yourself. I have another and more definite, and one of them broke just by placing an ice cube in the glass. I know that ice cubes must be gently hand pliers (or) in the bottom of the glass.

I have a lot of glassware of all shapes and sizes and I find myself using these all the time. I have about 14 of these in different sizes and have yet to break a single one in the 9 months I 've had them.

It's cute, and incredibly useful. We use for coffee and tea. It is very fragile, but if you are careful that a person will not be a problem. I want more!

The best I like the design of these, for reasons both practical and visual. The design is attractive to the eye and creates a thermal barrier between the liquid and hands. R rthe BAD: Would the design had requested a little thicker glass walls. I bought a set of two 2 oz cups of espresso and used to after a day that I now have a set of. While the toilet washes me away from the hands and fell about 2 inches to the surface of the heatsink essentially broke in half. Most of all articles and other glass in my closet would survived the short fall, but these glasses are too fragile for my clumsy fingers. For this reason, only give 3 stars. With only a few thousand • thousandth of an inch added to the thick glass, this product would be five.

I have owned these glasses for some time. I recently ordered more. The new model is made in China and are of poorer quality. One has a rather deformed edge with an inward angled lip. Another change is instead of being sealed, this model has a hole in the base covered by a piece of "water repellent silicone. " I remains to be seen if Gradually moisture will get in and cloud them up, as happens with thermopane windows .
