Reviews

This is truly a remarkable product. I 've press was used several times a week for more than five years and seems almost as good as it did on that day arrived from Amazon. By the time I bought mine, I also bought one for my friend and her husband, and they both have used it everyday since then. It 's really wonderful, functional, and aesthetically exciting products. It ISN 't like a fragile glass French press, and doesn ' t demand that your coffee is consumed directly as uninsulated glass press. And finally, I don 't have to worry about breaking the glass of cold when I press for hot water to the pan is stainless steel. The water is directly from the tea kettle pressed. And while the product description notes that the holding "almost seven five-ounce cup, " there is no coffee drinkers I 've never met a five-ounce drinking cups. But considering that I 'm the only coffee drinker in my family, it ' s holding that the right quantity for me: a little more than two large cups.

I 've owned this pot for over five years and still works as perfectly as the first day. The feature maintains its thermal water to lose a few degrees when you are brewing, and the temperature is important for the perfect coffee. Coffee The person who complained that the coffee was cold in 45 minutes ... the hell is going down to drink after 45 minutes anyway? The coffee was sitting in the fact that all the time and became bitter. Pressed coffee is intended to be consumed as soon as it is done brewing. This pot was held much better than any other glass press I 've ever had and well worth the money.

This bird coffee has been in two or three times daily use in our family of two adults for two years and a half. Pressed 5-12 tablespoons of ground coffee at the cafe, in a Krups blade grinder in a Cuisinart blade grinder, and two millstones Cuisinart Burr. He kept the coffee hot for three hours and, under a tea cozy, has kept the coffee hot for four hours. It could keep coffee hot for longer, but it 's rare that 32 grams of stuff will last that long around here. R rit is it not better to the French press, you can buy for a couple of reasons. First, it uses a single rubber-cut filter press at the bottom of its piston, rather than the three anchors, meshes, filters and support is in Raynaud 's filters Chambord, therefore, why make more your cup. Secondly, because it is heat, I encourage you to keep your coffee in the press all morning: the more you keep your soil in contact with the hot water, even at the bottom of the pot press, the more bitter the coffee will become . Third, 32 ounces is a lot of coffee, well beyond the 10 - or 16-oz quantity Our doctors prefer we drank every day. R rNeither problems of these bugs us: our good coffee and soft palettes have made this one of the two or three kitchen utensils you use several times a day. And we 're only hope that medical researchers intend to move when they write the amount of coffee consumption on moderate.

I bought the Bodum Columbia after noticing cracks in the Bottom of the its predecessor 's Glass Beaker (and not its first predecessor, either). Brewing time required by the French press results in a "cool " Coffee as a matter of course compared to a regular coffee maker, but, at 5.280 feet in altitude, the water is not that hot in either case. I used an insulated container for the extra coffee in the old glass Beaker press to keep it hot for a short time period which the Columbia will do, too. I have to say that I bought at Sur La Table The Columbia for $ 80 which is comparable to the Amazon price ( "marked down " from $ 107).

This style of French press coffee maker works great. The cafe is in the style of other French cars, full-bodied as there is no filter paper. The construction is solid, and because there are components of shatterproof glass and simply because it is well built. The overall look is elegant. Heat retention is better than other models I tried, but if you really want the coffee to be hot after 30 minutes, you should get a thermos. I 'm very happy with this purchase.

I, like most, have passed through the glass jar after jar of glass and turned to this alternative. Great concept poor design. It has turned against me several times causing a horrible mess go coffee ALLOVER! With so many designs out there, without having this potential disaster in the kitchen.

I love this French-press! This is perfect for making cold-press coffee. It 's stylish, and very solid. Nothing about this feels poorly made. I highly, highly recommend it!

Stainless steel is a great idea. Elegant, but difficult to break. Like all machines Bodum French coffee is excellent. I 'm comparing the quality of commercial machines in coffee shops and 1,200 $ / espresso machines for home use. It 's easy! It 'really hard to make coffee bad. I don 't understand why some people say that ' s difficult to clean. I think it is easy to clean. Well, I think that 100% $ 1200 automatic coffee / espresso machine is easier, but hey, there's a break in price. Compared to my old coffee maker, the French press is faster and easier to clean. R rKeep coffee hot for hours? But the beer becomes nasty and bitter if you let it rest for longer than recommended. Buy a thermos (I love my Nissan / Thermos). I pour the coffee into the carafe from my old vacuum, no longer used coffee machine and the coffee stays warm for hours. R rRemember to use a large ground, as indicated in the instructions or your coffee will be bitter and sour. R rMajor Downside. You will need to double the coffee beans for an 8 oz cup of coffee. A scoop of coffee grounds = one 4 oz "cup " of coffee. What are the designers of measurement systems Bodum uses anyway? Rthe R "8 cup " is possible for me is enough for everyday use. I'm sorry but my decision when the company is approaching and I can not go on long after the pour into my empty Carafa & To Serve after dinner.

We love this press. After a streak of violation of our Carafa cup of coffee in our coffee machine, and then breaking a glass coffee press, [...] is the perfect solution, a non-breakable coffee press, which which worked out beautifully. It 's very attractive and has held up well over time. In this age of disposability, it 's nice to have designed a product to last.

Pot-style, well-crafted, and make a delicious coffee, which, with the press, which, frankly easy to do. Silicon ring around the base of drivers is a good feature which our previous iterations of press-pot Bodum deficiency. R rthe thermal pot clearly not effective. I would describe it not so much like coffee still warm, as a barrier to the process of cooling a bit. After an hour in the pot, the coffee warm and appetizing. The press is not a substitute for good old-fashioned thermal pot with lid screws. R rI would rate higher that the conventional press, mainly because my wife and I have so much broken glass carafes for years. But at that price ... well, you 'll have to decide for yourself.

I really like the pot as a French press. Cool design. Cool aesthetically. Unfortunately the coffee does cool down very quickly. So if you 're thinking you ' re getting a good deal with this seemingly two-for-one (like I did) you will be disappointed. Even after warming the Too Much before brewing, the coffee only stayed a drinkable temperature for a half-an-hour or so.

I 've owned many coffee machines, presses, mills, and the rest ... what can I say ... I love java. However, this is by far my favorite. Large enough for two oversized cups, keeps it warm and works like a charm. I 've held me for 2.5 years and it ' s as good as the day they arrived. All stainless steel makes clean-up a breeze. One of my favorite products - simple, but elegant fits any body is always a great cup of coffee. No need for filters, building, etc. ..

I never had used a French press before. The coffee is definitely better! It takes more than drip, but 's not really a big problem. The cleaning is actually a little easier. R GH was reading reviews and it seemed that the glass models are more complicated and tend to break, so I think I could start with this. I 'm happy to have gone directly to stainless steel, although it ' s more expensive. I 't they treat others, but this is definitely easy to use and clean. I can 't really see anything that might break. The double-walled pot retains heat fairly well. The plunger presses down easily and smoothly. You can do almost three 12oz cups of coffee, which is an appropriate amount. I have very few grounds in my coffee (1-2 units), often none at all. What 's not your taste? Well, I would prefer to kill rather than stainless steel finish. Meh.

Very well made and attractive product. We use it in our RV so Don 't going to wash coffee grounds down the drain. So we must use our power to drag out the site. A bit of a disaster.

Nicely designed thermal french press. Thermal insulation to keep warm coffee certainly longer than the old glass of our press but doesn 't stay hot like a bottle of wine will be closed. Love the stainless steel pans but disappointed that the plastic lid, especially for the price.

I love this coffee press! It is beautiful, keep the coffee hot for hours and is very easy to clean. I don 't be happier.

I am tired of an electric circuit and Coffeemaker up using precious counter space and thought of a prison can be more sustainable and more delicious. The only problem is, hastily glass don 't keep your coffee hot. And Wednesday afternoon in my house, that 's non-negotiable. Enter this brilliant little invention. I thought the price was pretty steep but it 's not like rushing thermal easy to find, so I bought it. And, then owned it for about six months, I have to say it was worth every penny. This is a great, great, wonderful little thing. It 's super easy to clean, it works really really well (use a coarse grind, don ' t overfill or understeep) and it 's attractive look. I just like 'd bought the larger size, not available on Amazon at the time, because it is really to keep the hot coffee if you close the lid right, and I just pressed delicious drink coffee that day at all.

I 've used other French presses in the past. Became a believer after I saw an interview with Starbuck 's Howard Schutlz, where he said that he thought ' s (the only way to go and this is the man who believes that $ 4 for the World Esspresso AND THE MILK IS Way to go!). This product is great - keep the coffee hot for a long time! Only drawback is the cost - relatively expensive. Construction is quite big, and no glass to break Caraffe, so I expect this to last a lifetime.

Originally, I wanted a Bodum 8 cup coffee press Purchase (with glass insert) with my husband for a birthday gift. The customer support person / stay coffee expert at Bed Bath & Beyond, which I said, as is the Bodum nice to break the glass inserts normally, and if I really wanted to get a fair press, with the isolated too go, in danger of breaking glass and you get coffee, hot remains. And she didn 't even enter the product is, but he told me to get an already! GOOD CHOICE! We don 't be so careful in our treatment, and the coffee stays nice and hot. If you're a coffee drinker, which is so worth the investment, and if you are only stating to go only for them now because the way I see it is, you 'll eventually end up here if you hot coffee!

Very good quality. Quite heavy and robust. Still looks new after a year of daily use (abuse). To keep coffee hot, pour boiling water usually in the first pot for several minutes. Then we found out for water, put some coffee again and pour in hot water. In this way, the coffee stays warm longer. Once again, Great product, good price and a great addition to any kitchen.

I 've used French presses for years. News Junkie but it wants more than a cup in the morning and the second cup from a regular press was disappointingly lukewarm. (Nuking it destroys the flavor) I thought it smooth-looking stainless version can do the trick instead of moving to a coffee thermos right after making it to the press mirrors. The press claim that it will keep coffee hot for 2 hours is simply madness, but I 'd get even half hour. This pretty little Gizmo really doesn 't keep any coffee hotter than a glass pitcher, even when you pre-warm it. At $ 80 it should be a flat a miracle, because you can get on top of the thermos line for less. My advice? Save your money and get a regular press.

This machine does not keep the coffee warm for very long. Once you hot contents to the press you can feel the outside of the press to heat. Thermal properties worthless I was replacing an old press in isolation and it kept the coffee at a drinkable temperature for hours. This was my Christmas Bodum coffee in the morning at a drinkable temp for about 20 minutes. It 's not much better than my other Bodum glass. Don 't buy if keeping coffee hot for any period is important.

We bought this press rather expensive because it had spent so much money on glass, only to replace the pitcher two to three times a year. This press is of very high quality, lightweight and beautiful. There are two large or three cups of regular size, and keeps the coffee warm. The only potential problem you may have is with the "heat " share. Only the coffee remains hot for a couple of hours, so you can 't do in the morning and drink it all day. That works well for us, but if you 're looking for a thermal carafe that keeps your drink hot for hours, you should probably buy something not only that job. However, for two people who get up at different times, or to put on the table with a brunch or dessert, is very nice and works really well. And if you 're like me and always break your glass jar, It ' s cost is also very effective!

We expected this coffee maker that has been manufactured in France. Upon receipt, we found that it is manufactured in China. The pot looks good portion to the cover is of very poor quality and it does not look good seal. I would not recommend it to others. Chinese-made products are not safe and often contain toxic substances. We will return to and for a non-Chinese-made product to replace it. Buyer beware.

A definite must-have if you are in coffee. I am a certified bartender, and this will give you a great cup of coffee than coffee sold by the most commercially prepared coffee-shop chains especially if the bartender in question doesn 't know what they are doing, which is pretty often. R rBetter you make an investment in something like the difference of the press of coffee in glass, although this will not keep the coffee hot for an indefinite period, as for other guests.
