Description

4 cup Bodum Assam Tea Press Black 34 oz. - Bodum 1844-01GVP Who knows more about tea from the British? When the British Tea Council asked Bodum to develop a new form of tea, beer, the result was this unique news, which is almost as fun to watch as it is for your use. Simply fill the strainer with tea leaves and add boiling water - a slow process but well worth the time. (You can also use tea bags but why do you want?) The clear jug lets you see the tea as is fermentation, which allows you to customize your strength to your taste. When the tea is strong enough to stop plunger brewing. You will not have any tea leaves to read at the bottom of the cup, but there is no mess and no need to remove the strainer before pouring. But be forewarned: the Bodum press does not retain heat as well as a traditional glass of water, so you might want to use a nice tea if you are not taking the whole pot in one sitting. It is a shame to cover up a design so beautiful, but that's the way the tea leaf falls. - Mary Park

Reviews

The Bodum Assam Teapot is attractive, Sturdy, and easy-to-clean. In particular, I like the way the tea basket is designed, with no holes on the bottom third. This makes it possible for the tea basket to have much larger "vents " Introducing without much sediment to the tea, making it easier to clean than the typical baskets which use very fine metal mesh.

This is a good product and works very well, and Amazon has a great price on it, but it was reported that the infusion is plastic, so if you make tea flavor in it, the taste lingers. My advice to people who drink more than one type of tea infusion is the spring for the more expensive stainless steel. One other minor issues - that should come with a separate lid for use in case of removing the infusion to add something to the pot (milk, for example). There 's no way to have all withdrawn when the infusion.

Teapot works great except the drink is nylon and discolor after the first usage.

Very well designed, with a large infusion pump that can be sealed to stop the brewing process. This eliminates the need to eliminate the reasons that have been wet before her now. (Thus, all the cleaning occurs at a time). The handle stays cool during brewing. It is also very similar. RNote that this size is four cups, is relatively small. So if you need something bigger, there are similar models available in larger sizes.

I like this tea pot very easy to use and clean, the perfect tea growing, with the only twist is that the yellow plastic after all this time, but you can use bleach and it will look like new.

I bought this teapot so I can enjoy primula tea flowers I bought at the same time. Because I want to see the tea "Blossom, " I left the infuser. It turns out lid is too small to cover the pots if infuser is removed, it falls. Not what I was going for. Leaving the lid off the top cold tea. A very disappointing product from a known name in teapots.

I bought some of my fine by my favorite store medicinal teas and herbal remedy [...] r (be sure to get their tea Skinny Mini I lost 18 pounds and now are zero cells) and it is recommended that this product-it works great, even if the time of boiling is a bit 'slow. It also seems a lot on my desk and I like that the water is ready for me all day .. recommend this product!

This tea infuser is definitely bright, but only in the idea. Using it is another matter. First, the basket fuse is poorly designed. I don 't think it gives enough room to brew loose tea full. Second, the basket itself is very fragile and extremely difficult to remain firmly in the pot when pouring. Once you reach 90 degrees basket just falls out. You can not hold the lid to keep it in place you lie because it is very hot. The plunger is made of stainless steel, making it almost impossible for leverage. R rAll in all, a horrible product.

The Bodum Assam 4-Cup Tea Press makes perfect brewing tea from loose tea leaves both fun and simple. If you prefer loose tea to tea bags, tea and enjoy at the office, this is the way to do it. The basket easily holds five teaspoons of loose tea (one per cup plus "one for the pot "). Pour in hot water, wait four to five minutes and press down the plunger. This pushes the leaves to the bottom of the basket, and seals them in so they don 't continue infusing the tea. You have perfect tea, that doesn 't grow bitter, and the leaves are contained so that they can be easily disposed of. It makes enough tea so that you can serve tea to a visitor and even offer "seconds. " Everything rinses out easily, too. I have one for the office and one at home.te

I have been using this pot for almost a year and I love it. Filter works very well to trap the loose tea leaves, and the seal is still strong incentive that effectively stops brewing when the tea reaches the desired strength. Plastic cups of tea pots and tea leaf holder of both Dishwasher safe (top shelf) and out of the Dishwasher shining. R ri a little worried that the glass was thin, but I haven 't broke or cracked it yet. R ri will buy this for fellow lovers of tea without hesitation. This would make a great gift (especially if it is packed with some loose tea).

I received this pot as a gift from a friend about a year and a half ago and after use almost daily at this time, I have no complaints whatsoever about this well. Made an excellent cup of tea and strength in everything you want - just keep an eye on the color and press finish. Normally the pump of the press a few times, while the fermentation promote water circulation. This is NOT a good Tea pot is now so finely cut as seen in tea bags, I tend to drink only loose-leaf tea and I buy all my teas from Stash Tea Company. R rMost the time to enjoy their fantastic Earl Green tea or Dragonwell, but also occasionally make peach black tea, which is phenomenal. Although plastic colander, none of tea - two of which are clearly very happy - good "tainted flavor " basket. My peach has no flavor of bergamot Earl Green, Earl Green I do not like peaches. The high degree Dragonwell not lose their delicate flavor and extra flavor added to it the other two. I have my whole into saucepan. R rthe cart is dyed - I hope that - but in my experience, even maintaining strong flavors, while keeping it clean and washed between uses. It would have been very good to have a high quality rather than the basket mesh, but the plastic very well. R GH may be the recommendation to any fan now, and definitely going to buy again once it can be spent or broken. It 'sa great little glass of water! R RI drinking cups and children receive about three servings of this can.

My husband loves tea, and he uses it whenever we don 't coffee. You have to boil the water in another pot for use in this teapot, because it is a teapot Prancis Press.

I have owned this tea press for some time, I had put back for a while. From now on I only use it again, and now I remember why I have saved it. It is impossible for to drink tea from the pot without spilling it. This is very frustrating - annoying to the point that I will eventually put out of misery. Oh, well, I am not happy with a plastic sieve with a hole too big. I hope I've got my money back .....

This teapot works well for us. We have the best tea for less money, buying tea in bulk. No bags, no teaball, simply fill out the press. Brewing is fast, and you change the time on the instructions of tea or mate. Let the press as cover after Brewing - The tea leaves are isolated by the press. Cleaning is easy. We used the Bodum double wall Tumblers for serving tea to make it warmer. R RWE tea considered better for our health than coffee. We intend to keep warmer this winter by burning less fuel and drink more tea!

I bought this product recently, and have hand washed the plastic screen maybe 3 or 4 times. This tea is getting dirty, so I checked their website to ensure that it is dishwasher safe. When I saw it, I put it on top rack of dishwasher. It came out of a piece of broken off completely. I emailed them twice with no response, so today I called and they said that ONLY their electrical items are warrantied. Nothing else - no exceptions. This is the final product will not buy a Bodum. What ugly customer service! I guess they must make their money in the first Bodum product to purchase one, Because they certainly can 't have a lot of repeats with the kind of attitude.

I bought one of these in Ireland there are about 4 years and have used it almost daily since. It makes wonderful tea - Brew and types I have leaves that are large enough to remain in the strainer. It 'Pot's also beautiful and attractive on the table. I keep a towel wrapped around her to help retain heat, but that 's no problem. If you like the tea made from leaves instead of bags, you 'll almost certainly love this pot!

This is exactly what it 's should do. Brews 3-4 batch a good cup of tea and the ability to stop the tea from brewing by pushing the press all the way down is pretty cool. It 's small and compact so it takes a trip is pretty easy. All around a large infuser.

Love my new pot and will use every day when the air began to cool in here again.

Ideal for loose tea. Even tea bags. Like all about, I'm a coffee drinker, and rarely test drink, but tea-sipping schmeckle my guests love this little!

I found that this teapot leaks down the side of the spout when pouring tea. It seems impossible to avoid as I 've tried pouring several different ways (fast, slow, with infuser, infuser without, etc). I believe that the curvature of the spout is the Achilles heel of this teapot. A good portion of your tea will wind up in a puddle on the table when you use this product.

This is a nice little tea pot. My only complaint with the height / press doesn 't stay on very well when you ' re pouring tea. Bodum is not given a second-bells-and-whistles above, I would like to have more stars awarded.

I am having tea 10 times over the last two days, just to have to use this teapot! R RI said it is a birthday and immediately fell in love. It seems incredible, with or without tea, and while it 's just what matters most, c ' is certainly an interesting addition. More importantly, c 'is very useful to be able to see the tea as it brews, and I ' m very happy not having to use a tea infuser. R rInstead empty the brewer and discard the leaves, you just have to seal them (very easily), and when you 're ready to make more tea, you can discover and simply pour more water. And if you 're in a hurry, you can even infuse the tea faster by pushing the plunger up and down. R pot rthe appear very solid, and although I don 't give up on the floor, I don ' t worry, blow it by putting it in a pile of dishes to dry. I really did 't see anything not to like this news about tea!

I love this teapot! Keeps smaller bits of tea to escape. Brews great!

I thought this would be more like the coffee press, which i really liked. This thing doesn 't press the tea at all, since the rod doesn ' t go to the bottom. Taste of the tea is not nearly as good as when brewed by my previous method. Am trying to think up some other use for it, but so far no ideas. Seems like a singularly useless product.

It is a cheap made-in-China junk. My wife discovered the same product for $ 10 at Ross.
