Easy to make from one to two cups of delicious coffee. Problem is, with clean-up, easy if you grind it don 't mind flushing down the drain, but if you want to throw garbage into grinds, they are kind of wet.

For me, the coffee made in a French Press is the best. If you want a smooth, rich cup, it's really the only way. Pay attention to the description though, it 's 4 cup 8 ounces, not the typical 8ounce "cup " you're used to. If you drink from a big mouth, you can get two out of it. Spend a few dollars more and get a larger model, it is worth it.

People amaze me. So many of the negative comments this product has to do with confusion about the size of the service and have nothing to do with the quality of coffee. If you read the instructions or do a little research before you choose which size to buy, you will clearly see that in coffee "terms, a cup " is considered 4 ounces, not 8 oz. So if you need a larger size, buy a larger size. Don 't blame the maker because you can ' t do math. Also, don 't give a glass negative item to review because he fell and broke. You knew it was glass when you bought it - just be careful. R RNOW that 's out of the way, let ' s really solve the coffee. The Bodum makes a big, robust, full-bodied cup of coffee. Pansies need not apply. In addition to a $ 600 coffee maker, for the true coffee lover, this is probably the best experience in the coffee house you can get. Before deciding on using a French press - the entire French press, you should realize that there are advantages and disadvantages - such as exist for any method of brewing. Yes, you will have some sludge in your cup. It 's inevitable. If this offends your delicate sensibilities, perhaps the French press is not for you. However, if you are looking for a REAL cup of coffee - bold, strong, tasty - this is probably the best method of brewing. The press method of making coffee is all about freshness and flavor. Coffee beans have natural oils that contain a lot of flavor. Filter paper in coffee drip take this component tasty, but you have to give cleaner cup of coffee. You have to choose what is most important to you. If you want to enjoy your coffee, give BODUM French press to try. It 's definitely a little more work to heat the water separately and beer that way, especially if you're grinding fresh when you drink, but the extra flavor is well worth the effort, in my opinion. R RAL, don 't ignore the importance of beans. If you don 't have fresh, good quality beans it doesn ' t really matter what method of brewing that you use. For the best overall experience, I recommend that you grind beans fresh at home with a conical burr grinder on the creation COARSE, drink and immediately BODUM the right size of your choice. And read the instructions on how to use a lot of coffee. It 's not a mystery, people. Use a spoon (included) for each 4 ounces of water. Measure your water in ounces, before heating to make sure that the correct proportions. R ras a note, I bought the model 8-cup that is sold with a warming "layer " included, which is a great addition. Coffee tends to cool very quickly, because the glass is thin and there is no internal heating element or isolation. The box advertised that I bought the jacket is apparently free, so if you can find it for the same price with the coat of heating included, I highly recommend.

I 've owned by two Bodum presses and have loved them both. There are problems with both. R rthe first press coffee I had was a cup of 8-one, who did a lot of coffee if I filled it. I chose the 4 cup model, more recently, and find that 'sa little too small.

It takes more time to use than just throwing coffee in the coffee, but it 's worth it if you really want a good cup of joe. RMY wife thinks is a container for flowers, but that 's life. RPros: Great! a cup of coffee. RCons: Not great when you 're in a hurry.

I have a stainless steel French Press by Frieling. Leaving some reason in the cup every time so I thought I 'd try 8-glass Bodum. Bodum The lid has a piece of plastic that poured through each and every time. So, while Bodum doesn 't leave the bottom of the cup (the only annoying mud), I ' m back because the plastic. Hot water and plastic do not go together. Plus, the previous reviewer mentioned that Bodum drivers doesn 't go all the way down. It should, but it does not 't.

Excellent French press, well built. Produces an excellent cup of coffee every time. This is my perfect coffee press.

As a simple device, not saying much except that the high-quality, holding up well, and looks great on the table. Only downside is that if you need more than 2 cups of coffee GREAT, then you must repeat the process. But, hey, if you NEED NEED NEED more than 2 cups of caffeine, you need a different drug, LOL! R rSince we recently our way of making coffee also buy Bodum Grind and Electric Tea Kettle (Bodum makes the goods of high quality) I have reviewed below: r rNow that I 've had a few weeks to try this, I LOVE IT! After many hours reading reviews on the grinder, and want to stay under $ 100, I bought this one for use with the Bodum Chambord French Press, and worked perfectly. We should use the lowest setting for rough ground and seemed to do the job perfectly for French Press style. A time-to-grind buttons (up to 40 seconds for the quantity you want to grind) that you just set and leave it after you know how much you need every morning. For 4 cups of coffee, we set the knob for about 15 seconds. Wake up, press the red button, remove the cup of fresh reasons, pour into the French Press, add nearly boiling water (from our Bodum Electric Tea Kettle) and Voila! (The only bitch is the French Press cleaning units).

I broke my daughters press ", so I ordered the Bodum Chambord 4-cup Coffee Press. It was delivered very quickly, and the price was reasonable. My daughter was so happy. Thanks

I had a French press before I liked to use when I traveled. He broke, and I have a gift. Well, some bozo DECIDED French press which was t 'go to the bottom because somebody can push too hard and break the glass, so that everything seemed to be designed now to stop way before the bottom. The result is that you can 't really press the grind, and when you lie down, a large amount of liquid remains on the ground at the bottom. You have to expect it 'drains "out eventually if you hold it upside down. It doesn ' t taste as good or. R wrinkles. I think I'll look for another brand when the French press can actually do what the name promises. Press the coffee.

I was told the Bodum is a premium brand of coffee presses for manufacturing. I placed an order for a 3-cup French press as a gift for two friends. They are a couple and tired of drinking instant coffee business. The image shown in the Amazon looked like a 3-one cup is big enough for two people to use at the same time. So I recommended and bought a 3-cup coffee press for them. R rHowever , after giving the guy left, I opened the package box to find the glass of the press already broken. And look at the size of the type of small for two people, especially when I'm going to give as a gift. So I went back to the 3-press and asked for a 4-cup one cup of the Amazon. The money was returned to my account immediately. I was impressed by the convenient and efficient way to return a product at Amazon. My friends, as the 4-cup French press a lot and are using it frequently.

Press coffee we gave our daughter and son-in-law as a Housewarming present for their new mountain home, including a coffee grinder. They are so thrilled and think it is the best coffee you! They just love it.

We bought the 4 cup press, ideal for a large iced coffee or two clock in the morning. Design is well developed. RI would like to point out that this is manufactured in Portugal and not a communist country in Asia. R rthe only design flaw is that coffee grounds be filed in each case between the steel plate mesh and plunger after use. It helps to have a faucet in the kitchen that sprays like a shower head to help, there is on these grounds. Forgot This isn 'ta deal breaker by any means, just don ' t clean up this area.

Works great. I suggest moving the coffee to a thermos to keep warm.

Very pleased with this product. The coffee I make with this is excellent. Only one who had twice its size. Definitely recommend the purchase.

I had the 4 cup model. There is 1 "mug " coffee with a little room for cream, if I 'm in the mood. (my cup is about 2x the size of a cup of American coffee standard) r rmy wife does not drink coffee, so that the smaller model is perfect for me. May I purchase a larger model at some point, to entertain guests. R rPros r-done coffee fantastic, if you follow some simple rules: coarse grind (reduce sediment), Don 't use too few reasons (more - extracting = bitter coffee), grind your own beans ( GRIND YOUR OWN BEANS !!!), if not back to back ... washing between uses (the accumulation of oil = bitter coffee), Don 't Leave extra coffee in the press (it will continue to steep, which is bad) r-Simple to use, easy to clean. Everything comes apart with little hassle r-dishwasher (While I use too many leave never sit in the dishwasher.) R-Sturdy (The speaker who spoke about busting the bottom was probably using force when you press Hulk, stirring with a metal (which creates micro-cracks in the glass), or clean in cold water may be too soon after the hot coffee in the press. (which is also bad for the glass ... duh)) r "You will experience the flavors never knew you had a coffee before. r rcon r work harder to clean than a filter machine to prepare (but worth it) r-Glass is breakable, Don 't drop it or put a 2 year old. (They make unbreakable plastic models, but the oils that make the accumulation of coffee bitter cling to plastic, and Don 't cling to glass. C ' is something Chimie SA, a chemical engineer, as my brother.) R "It ruined me for coffee the other. I used to tolerate bad office coffee, now I don 't stand the smell of it. When I travel, I regret the French press coffee, but buy them from any chain, but it 's still not as good as my own press. R Press rFantastic! RSITY Note: I heard that Aero - press makes a good cup of coffee too, but I 'm hesitant to try, because it still uses a filter, and you lose some flavor components of coffee the filter, no matter what you do.

Construction of high quality, great works and to make two full cups of coffee at a time. R rLooks quite nice to keep on the counter.

This is the second coffee press I have bought. The first one had a plastic filter that kept breaking after a few weeks use, even when it was used carefully. R rthe Bodum is definitely made to last but I don 't like the metal legs / handle attachment so I ended up using the carafe from my old broken coffee press that has an easily removed rubber bottom for better cleaning. Bodum The filter is rugged but not as good at keeping all the grounds where they belong in the bottom of the carafe as the plastic filter with the rubber seal that breaks easily.

I had to add to the outcry over this French press, as it 's Mornings transformed in my work. I use a coffee maker at home on the weekends, but rarely have time to make a cup before work. Like most offices, you have our terrible warm "coffee " so that the only solution is $ 4 from the street shop. No! Combined with my Aroma 1.5L electric kettle, I now have a huge coffee mug amazing in about 8 minutes (mostly spent doing other things while the water heats up and soak the coffee). I like that the glass is wrapped in metal for added protection, and stay-cool handle is comfortable to leaking. It cleans up very quickly, too. I think the press will pay for itself in just a couple of weeks, since he won 't be buying $ 4 coffee more.

This is my first experience in a coffee press. After reading up the reviews here I bought this Bodum Chambord 3-cup model in a local store with home. A note to remember: By "3 cups " they mean per 4 oz cup or 12 oz total. I knew this going in as I wanted something where I can make a cup of fairly quickly, instead of using my 12-cup Cuisinart coffee maker. R rAnyway, here 's my list of positives and negatives of this model: r rPositives: r-Best coffee I ' ve ever made. I always received compliments on Cuisinart, made very hot and good cup of coffee. But my first experience with the press is truly made me believe in this method. It just makes a very rich, smooth cup of coffee that I can conseguir the Cuisinart. R-Perfect size for a cup (American sizes). R-true recipe press works well, not a lot of yard / coffee sludge return to the screen. R-looks good r rNegatives: r-The glass carafe is too thin. Honestly it 's just a matter of time before it breaks things. Although the instructions say they use a plastic spoon to stir the coffee "so as not chip or break the glass " (paraphrase). I 'm really report they didn ' t use a thick grade glass. R-Cleaning can be a bit cumbersome in the pitcher is pretty narrow. Clear that you don 't want grinds of course going down the sink so you dump the trash. When you 're ready to clean of course all the yard is pressed down toward the bottom. A woman with small hands can reach it delicately and wipe clean with a paper towel. My method is to use a plastic spoon to scoop out what can I do to waste, and then with a paper towel to try to squeeze a couple of fingers there to wipe the leftover. I still end up having mud on some water to get it all, and inevitably a small% of the yard goes into the sink. R also resume, if the glass carafe of the higher grade I 'd give the unit 5 stars, it ' s really bad when Bodum cheap here. But it really will make the remaining cup of coffee, and it 's very easy to use. I don 't have any regrets buying as I did ' t want to plunk down a lot of money for my first press before knowing if I like it. Now that I know that I am, I will likely buy a larger 8-cup units, probably iron or at least one larger and allows for easier cleaning.

This is an amazing product, to put it mildly. I 'll never go back to auto-drip again. However, if you're the kind of person that t 'doesn know how to treat their equipment with sensitivity, this release is going to break on you within the first week of use. R RNOW, I 'm not that type of person, but I am a member of the family is. A glass container should be cleaned after use, every time (of course), and 's easy to tip over. It 's king so easy (if not ' attention) to snatch the glass beaker when you 're to clean it, and because the intake is still on, the glass can come out with the plunger, which explode on the ground . Great. RStill R, 's the original, and ' s an impressive way to make coffee. It 's less of a fussy moka pot, better tasting a regular ol ' car to drop, but less expensive than installing on the espresso machine. It 's the perfect man work ' s solution to good coffee.

This thing is great. I like strong coffee and press this fills the bill. It 's my first time using anything like this, and now I ' m spoiled. She says you must use coarsely ground coffee, but I thought you just constant use, light, pressure, works well with our local supply to grind. RClean is not so bad either.

In the past, I was throwing all my coffee cups Press as broken glass (they are fragile and prone to crack, break). I found this cup replacement on the Amazon and how it works and fits perfectly into my press stainless steel to less than half the price (including shipping). RI am very happy.

This point is very thin glass. It arrived broken. It is a waste of money. 9 August 2009

Is not It 't register that is of 3 4 ounce cups, not 3 cups of 8 ounces, so it doesn ' t completely fill my cup of Starbucks coffee on the road. My oversight. Beyond that, it's simple to use and tastes great. It 's faster than my trickle filter and was the coffee tastes better.
